"We had such a lovely time here. We enjoyed getting to know our hosts and watching the bear eating apples. Great location, yummy breakfasts. Wouldn't change a thing."

~Atlanta, GA

As I was updating our Guest Book, it occurred to me that we needed to archive our biggest organic apple fan. This past weekend we would see him / her come back 4-5 times during the day and simply lie down under one of 0ur apple trees and gorge on apples. We are guessing that it is two years old from its size and the fact that it is solo.

After "allowing" several days of feasting and having our B&B guests watching out the windows (this was all 20-50' feet from the house), we decided that it was time for some noise and encouragement to leave. This one is way too comfortable around humans. We are guessing that this may solve the mystery of who was breaking down blueberry branches during the season. Sweet 16s, jonamacs, and Cortlands seemed to be favorites. Earlier in September our pears were on the menu until I started spraying rags with ammonia and hanging them on lower branches.

Fattening up for winter.
