A late-afternoon walkabout to highlight many of the flowers starting to shine here at Fruitlands. As you can see (this is not all of them), I have planted 800' of five different types of sunflowers as part of our Vermont Plants Sunflowers for Ukraine community action across Vermont. Today we have our first autumn beauty blossoms (not shown) from volunteers in the big veggie garden. You are welcome to visit our gardens. You just have to promise to find a place and quietly soak it all in. Let the earth work her magic.
*The large yellow plantings are mustard. This is a cover crop. The bees working the flowers are deafening. Joy.
